Mubaku Cares!
The Mubaku Community Medical Centre has a remarkable story rooted in community support and a commitment to health care access. The journey began in 2018 when Max from Switzerland visited Mubako, a village near Murchison Falls National Park.
During his trip, he witnessed the community’s struggles with limited access to medical resources, which inspired him to take action. After returning home, Max and his family stayed in touch with the Mubaku Community Board. Thanks, among other things, to his very generous support, health care was able to be significantly expanded. This is how a small drugstore was first created, which serves both locals and tourists visiting the park.
In 2024, the construction of the medical center was completed in another major step. This means that a very good infrastructure is now available for healthcare.
